Ferrer enjoyed a career at the very top of European football, winning countless trophies throughout his time in Spain and England. At Barcelona, during his 8 years at rightback, he won 5 league titles, a European Cup, a Cup Winners Cup, 2 domestic cups and 2 Super Cups.

After moving to Chelsea in 1998, he helped the club qualify for their first ever season in the Champions League, and won the FA Cup in 1998.

He played at the World Cup in 1994 and 1998, and won a gold medal for Spain in the 1992 Olympics.
