Gudjohnsen made most of his career appearances at Chelsea. In his second season he formed a partnership with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink which helped provide fifty-two goals for Chelsea in all competitions. He won the Premiers League title in 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 with Chelsea, before moving to Barcelona, where he won the Champions League.
