Fernando Morientes enjoyed a hugely successful career as a prolific striker in Europe's top leagues. He played over 180 times for Real Madrid, scoring 72 goals, and winning 2 La Liga titles and 3 Champions Leagues. He moved to Liverpool in 2005, and won the FA Cup that season. At Valenica, he won a Copa Del Ray in 2008, and went on to win a Ligue 1 title at Marseille in 2010.

He played at two World Cups for Spain, scoring 5 goals. In total, he made 47 appearances for his country, scoring 27 goals.
