Jansen is most noted for his spell at Blackburn Rovers. Jansen showed promise when he scored against Tottenham Hotspur in his League debut in January 1999. After being relegated at the end of the 1998/1999 season, Jansen was the star of the team which won promotion back to the Premier League, finishing as the league’s second top scorer with twenty-three goals.
