Webb - an English midfielder, who could also play as a defender - was a regular first-team player for Portsmouth and helped the team win promotion to the Second Division. At Nottingham Forest Webb developed into a top class midfielder with a strong goal-scoring record. He helped Manchester United win the FA Cup in 1990, UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup in 1991 and Football League Cup in 1992.
