Rachel Yankey was the first ever professional female footballer in the UK. She began her club career at Arsenal Ladies in 1996, just a year before making her debut for England, against Scotland, scoring in a 4-0 win. She went on to play for her country 129 times, becoming the most capped player to ever to play for England. Rachel was also part of the Great Britain squad for the 2012 London Olympics.
