Jones made his big career move in 1991, when he joined local club Liverpool. He was awarded Man of the Match on debut, against Manchester United and went on to make over 240 appearances playing at RB and LB for the club. Whilst at Liverpool, he won both the FA Cup and League Cup, and went on to appear 8 times for England.
