Sue Smith began her club career at local team Tranmere Rovers, before signing for Leeds in 2002. Smith won the Premier League Cup with the Yorkshire club in 2010. The later half of her career was played at Doncaster Rovers Belles. She has twice won the Nationwide International Player Of The Year Award, once in 1999 and again in 2001, and was twice runner-up in the FA Women’s cup. She made her England debut at the age of 17 and went on to make 93 appearances for her country, scoring 16 goals.
