Flowers played as a goalkeeper from 1984 to 2003. He was notably part of the Blackburn Rovers side that won the Premier League in 1995. Flowers’ £2.4 million move to Blackburn Rovers made him the most expensive goalkeeper in Britain. He made 177 appearances in his four season spell with the Rovers.
