Micah Richards for Sky Sports for the Carabao Cup Final at Wembley

After just 7 months of punditry, Micah made his biggest appearance yet as he was a pundit for Sky Sports for the Carabao Cup Final between two of his former clubs - Manchester City and Aston Villa. Although Manchester City ran out deserved 2-1 winners, Aston Villa put up a sturdy fight that impressed Micah.
Alongside Micah on the punditry team was Villa goalkeeper Tom Heaton and Premier League legend Jamie Redknapp. Scott Minto hosted the proceedings in the studio whilst Laura Woods did the preview and pitchside reporting.
Seven months into his broadcasting career, and he handled the match analysis with a mix of insight and passion that really showed his experience as a former player for both Manchester City and Aston Villa. Seeing him break down the game alongside Tom Heaton and Jamie Redknapp added real depth, and Scott Minto and Laura Woods kept the flow smooth and engaging. While City deserved the 2-1 win, Aston Villa’s resilience was impressive, and Micah highlighted it well.
